Hello everyone! 🖤

Halloween is almost here, and so is our next Early Access update!

We originally hoped to complete Controller Support this week and move forward with version 0.5. However, we decided to prioritize long-standing crash issues, releasing a crash-mitigation hotfix and continuing to address bugs and improve stability rather than rushing the remaining controller work.

So, our next release will be Update 0.4.11, bringing the new Moonlit Chamber, Succubus Costume,Tattoos, Halloween Decor further Controller Support improvements, and another round of important gameplay fixes.

🌙 Welcome to the Moonlit Chamber

Our new Halloween-themed base, the Moonlit Chamber, is now complete!

We've been working on its atmosphere, lighting, music, and environmental details to give it a darker, more mysterious personality than our existing bases.

The Chamber also comes with a collection of new decorations and furniture, including ornate thrones, sofas, cages, candelabras, altars, skeletons, and plenty of pumpkins. Some are elegant, others are a little more sinister, and together they offer plenty of possibilities for creating your own Halloween hideaway.

We've also added the Chamber to the World Map and made further adjustments to its materials, lighting, and ambient audio to bring the environment together.

🦇 A New Halloween Costume

Halloween wouldn't be complete without a fitting outfit!

The new Succubus Costume has been added to the game, featuring a devilish combination of horns, wings, and dark, seductive details.

Whether you're exploring the Moonlit Chamber or heading into battle, it's another option for players who enjoy experimenting with their characters' appearance.

🎮 Controller Support: Almost There

Despite our focus on stability and bug fixes, we've continued making progress on Controller Support, particularly the remaining Settings > Controls functionality, which now supports gamepad navigation.

We've also refined the screen's appearance and fixed an issue that prevented certain keys, including the arrow keys, Spacebar, and Tab, from being assigned during input remapping.

There are still some details to polish, especially making the remapping process clearer for players, along with further testing and bug fixes.

We're getting closer, but we want to make sure the remaining functionality works properly before considering Controller Support complete.

⚔️ Combat Fixes & Stability Improvements

Following our recent crash-mitigation hotfix, we've continued investigating and resolving issues that could interrupt gameplay.

One particularly frustrating problem could leave the player unable to attack or use abilities after dodging during a combo or opening the Inventory mid-attack. We've revised the combat-state handling to prevent these situations.

We've also improved Companion ranged combat, fixing issues with aiming and the use of special abilities. Companions should now fire arrows and use their abilities correctly instead of sometimes aiming at enemies' feet.

Another fix addresses incorrect character animations after loading a saved game.

Alongside these changes, we've made smaller improvements to environmental collisions, shadows, materials, and other elements throughout the game.

Looking Ahead

Our immediate priority remains stability and completing the remaining Controller Support work. The recent hotfix and subsequent bug fixing took more development time than expected, but addressing these issues is essential before moving forward with larger changes.

At the same time, we're happy to finally bring the Moonlit Chamber and our Halloween content into the game. We hope you'll enjoy exploring and decorating your new home, and we'd love to see what you create with the new furniture!

As always, thank you for your patience, feedback, bug reports, and continued support throughout Early Access.

Happy Halloween! 🎃

The Team ⚔️
