Hello everyone,

We hope you’ve been doing well. 🖤For us, every new update brings a fresh wave of excitement, and this one is no exception.

Even though there’s still so much more we want to build, the February 13th update is shaping up to be one of our most enjoyable milestones so far. The team has already begun internal testing, and honestly… we’ve been having a great time with this build. We can’t wait for you to jump in and experience it too.

Alongside the full patch notes, we wanted to share a quick highlight of what’s coming.

A Stronger Combat Experience

This update is heavily focused on combat improvements, making fights feel more responsive, readable, and satisfying.

One of the first things we asked ourselves was:

Why not let players properly experiment before committing to a weapon?

That’s why the training dummies in the tutorial have been improved. During the tutorial, they’ll help you understand the basics, and once you complete it, they remain available for continued practice. You’ll be able to test weapons, special attacks, and different fighting styles before taking them into real encounters.

We’ve also updated several weapon animations, including jumping and attack transitions, so combat flows more naturally both in practice and in battle.

Enemies Fight Back, Especially Against Bows

Speaking of battle… ranged combat has become much more engaging.

Enemies are no longer completely helpless against bow users, meaning you’ll need to stay alert and position carefully. Archery should feel and sound powerful, but not effortless.

We’ve seen feedback from players who prefer single-weapon combat. Auto-loot can still occasionally place one-handed weapons into the off-hand, and this hasn’t been adjusted in this update yet.

If you’d like to avoid that for now, equipping a shield in the off-hand will block additional weapon equips.

Also blocking with shields is now significantly more enjoyable. The feedback, timing, and flow have all been improved.

Dual wield fans aren’t left behind either. Dual wield combat animations have also received an update, making fast-paced fighting smoother than ever.

Bosses, Monsters, and More Impactful Encounters

Some of the biggest improvements in this build are focused on major enemies and boss encounters.

Creatures like Flavius, Ecinni, Gulyabani, and Mankurt have received updates across:

  • Combat animations

  • Visual effects

  • Sound effects

  • Overall encounter feel

Boss fights should now feel more intense, more cinematic, and more rewarding, especially when you finally see that “Boss Defeated” screen after a hard battle.

Companions Are Improving

We’ve made several code-side improvements to companion behavior, and while they’re not exactly where we want them to be yet, they now take much more meaningful action in combat.

They engage more consistently and contribute better during fights. That said, companions still don’t use potions, and they aren’t yet smart enough to retreat when their health gets critically low.

However, with the right preparation, they can become surprisingly reliable allies. Equipping accessories obtained from Ja’far, especially those that increase armor and vitality, significantly improves their survivability and allows them to stand their ground much longer in battle.

Companion AI remains an active area of development, and we’ll continue refining their behavior in future updates.

Onboarding Complete; A Clearer Start for Everyone

We’ve also fully completed our onboarding improvements.

New players should no longer feel lost when entering the game. You’ll start with clearer guidance, better knowledge of shortcuts, and a smoother introduction into the world.

After completing your first objectives and returning to the palace, your journey will naturally continue through the world map: starting from the Caravanserai and progressing through levels as they unlock one by one.

As you explore new instances, you’ll have a better sense of:

  • What objectives await

  • Whether a companion can be rescued

A smoother path forward, without losing the spirit of discovery.

Introducing the Lunar Palace Base

Finally, we’re excited to share a brand new base to decorate:

The decoratable Lunar Palace base is now available on the map. ✨

With spring approaching, the palace offers a beautiful atmospheric space filled with warm evening lighting, lantern-lined paths, and the perfect setting to experiment with new decorations.

It’s also an amazing spot for taking photos with your companions, we’ve already captured some of our favorite moments there during testing.

Bug Fixes & Full Patch Notes

Alongside these major additions, this update includes a wide range of bug fixes and polish improvements.

The full detailed list will be shared with the patch notes when the update goes live.

Thank You 🖤

As always, thank you for your continued support, feedback, and reviews. Every message helps us shape the game into something better.

We’re truly excited to share this build with you on February 13th, and we hope you enjoy what’s coming next.

See you very soon,

The Team ⚔️
